Miscellaneous Diamond & CBN Tooling
These diamond braze bonded dovetail cutters are excellent for slotting and chamfer angle cutting.
High material removal rates are obtainable with even the most abrasive materials.
Diamond braze bonded mounted form tools for radius and countersink operations. Also shown are mono-layer mandrels generally
used in the dry state for shaping ceramics, carbon & glass filled composites without loading up the diamond zone
The above illustration shows two(2) brazed mounted facing wheels ideal for rough contouring of non-ferrous materials.
At Niabraze, our superabrasive tooling is designed and engineered to precise customer specifications. Tools are electroplated with a high quality blend of natural & synthetic diamonds at maximum concentration.
With our flexible manufacturing platform we can produce the widest variety of styles and sizes to meet your abrasive tooling needs.
If specified, the tooling can be braze bonded for the ultimate bond strength and diamond retention. These tools provide longer, faster cutting life resulting in greater productivity per tool. The braze chemically reacts with the diamond insuring the abrasive grit will not release prematurely.
Options Available
- Diameter- Niabraze can manufacture any size you require.
- Shank Diameter- Generally determined by the mass weight of the head. Shank diameters can range from 1/8" to 2".
- Flutes- The number of flutes, flute depth & width is usually governed by the head diameter. (i.e. 1/2" dia. heads would only have 2 flutes)
- Diamond or CBN coverage- You, the customer, generally specify grit type as well as location on the tool. (i.e. total coverage across face & 1" plate height)
- Grit Sizes- 18/20 through 600 mesh. The more popular sizes range from 40/50 to 100/120 mesh.
- Recessed Head- Available with any rim width or depth of face. Generally, the recessed depth is less than or equal to the diameter of the diamond particles.
- Tolerances- Standard tolerances are held for the graduation from coarse to fine grit sizes.
**All of the above tools were manufactured to customer specification for end user applications. They can be stripped and recoated for subsequent use.
